6 Year Client. I’ve been incredibly busy and had fallen behind on managing my QuickBooks, but Maxwell CPA really stepped in and took care of everything. Not only did they help clean up all of my annual transactions, but they also aligned my asset, depreciation list, and set up monthly monitoring to keep things on track moving forward.

If you’re looking for a firm that can help you monitor, clean, maintain, and actually communicate with you, I highly recommend Maxwell CPA. Ask for Craig or Sierra, they’ve been nothing but gracious, professional, and responsive to all our concerns and long-term goals. We are extremely dissatisfied with the unexpected drafts from our bank account and service provided by Maxwell CPA. We engaged them for bookkeeping services, but not a single bookkeeping entry has been completed for any of our companies they agreed to help us with despite paying for their services for several months. They advised us to move from QuickBooks Enterprise to QuickBooks Online, claiming it would make it easier for them to manage our books. We agreed to this transition, but it turned out to be a huge mistake.

Their agreement clearly stated that any additional costs outside the scope of services would be communicated to us in advance for our approval. However, they never informed us of any extra charges. Instead, they sent us an unexpected bill and stopped responding when we inquired about it. This is highly unprofessional and unacceptable.

Maxwell CPA billed us on the same day they sent the invoice, leaving us no time to review the additional charges. We also repeatedly asked when they would assist with QuickBooks from another company, which they promised to do, but they never followed through. This company has lost our trust completely.

The owner mentioned that the services they are providing are outside of the scope of work in the agreement that we signed. We do not believe it is, as the agreement clearly states that they help us with all bookkeeping and accounting. This falls into that area, and even if it is outside the scope of work, the agreement also clearly states, "if there are matters that arise which are outside of the scope of the above services we will alert you in advance for your approval. If approved, you authorize us to electronically initiate payment for these additional services." They never alerted us of additional charges.

We were paying for monthly bookkeeping services, and they did not do any bookkeeping services after a few months of us paying for the service. The owner and staff stopped replying after I mentioned that the contract clearly states that they need to inform us of additional charges that fall outside of the scope of work. They pull the money from our account instantly and before we even had a chance to see the charges.

I highly advise others to stay away from Maxwell CPA. This is the only negative review I have ever posted, but I feel it is necessary to warn others about this untrustworthy company. Their lack of communication and unexpected billing practices are a clear indication of their unprofessionalism.
