I contacted Mr Van Es via email about a legal issue that I had a lot of questions about, and he called me back that same day. Even before I hired him or paid him anything, he talked me through the issue and what my options were. I ended up hiring him and was very happy with the job he did. Mr Van Es is a solid lawyer with a very friendly demeanor and patient attitude, and I would definitely recommend him. My legal issues were handled competently and efficiently.

No one including my sister-in-law is or was pleased with Todd Van Es. He should be ashamed of his poor skills as a lawyer and a human being.My wife and her sister hired Todd Aaron Vanes aka " Todd Van Es" to see to my mother-in-laws estate. He told us it was a routine thing pretty standard. Quoted a flat rate said he'd get started right away. We paid a downpayment. Three weeks later after ignoring some communications he did what he said would be done at the end of the first week. Then he was paid the entire amount he quoted for the case. Later he talked like he was going to charge more money. He was inactive a lot. Blamed others for his short comings. Made us miss a closing date. Just one big headache after another. In the end they hired another attorney. Don't know if they will get any of their money back. Found out that at the time we hired Todd his license to practice law was suspended. It was reinstated after we hired him.Please if you need a lawyer get one that at least has an office. If they are like Todd you'll need a place to pin him down. If my sister-in-law was pleased we wouldn't have hired a different lawyer.

Paid him double what he asked for as a retainer because I had the money at the time and wanted to get the whole process over with as quickly as possible. If you want unprofessional, he texted me a receipt for the $1,000 cash I gave him when we met at a McDonald's. That should have been the red flag. Heard nothing from him about my case until I went to move back home and asked for my retainer so I could restart the process over back home. Was told he had already started on my case (news to me!) and then not another word from him. Everything about him felt shady.

If a score of 0 stars was possible that is what I would give him. No communication, lazy, disrespectful, unprofessional, dishonest. This guy is a discredit to his profession. Multiple mistakes that were never fixed multiple times. Had 5 weeks to make needed changes and showed up to court with nothing corrected. I have filed a grievance against him with the state of Arkansas. Too much to list on his short comings as an attorney. I wish no ill will on anyone, but this guy should not have a license to practice law.

Maybe he will respond with the negative review I’m giving him. We have tried multiple times to communicate with him to no avail. The trustee has tried multiple times to reach him yet nothing. I’m not sure how much he is paying the people to write the good reviews on him.
