I recently visited The Home Depot in North Buffalo, NY and had an excellent experience thanks to a helpful employee named Enid, i was struggling to find outdoors rug and Enid not only located it for me but also took the time to explain the different options available and helped me choose the best one for my needs. Their patience and knowledge made my shopping trip much easier and enjoyable. I highly recommend Enid and would definitely come back to this store again because of their great service." She knew I came from far away, she did the right thing, Enid move everything around like a great leader. When other employees (maybe elderly managers stated to pay for it and come back when they were ready. I came all the way to this store since I look it up online and the status was 83 available they just needed to get it down. Enid did everything she could so I go back home with the product. She is great, professional, funny, great spirit. I think she should be a manager or a lead. Employees like this should be recognized those employees are the one you want want to kept. Thanks Enid!!! P.S. she went back and forward getting all the gates, since for her safety is first.

North Buffalo Home Depot is amazing in much nicer than the Amherst location that I’m always going to. The staff go above and beyond, and they have yet to fail me. When they know me on a first name basis, that’s just what it’s about. That quickly made me realize that these guys remember who they are talking to and that they pay attention to their customers. Looks like I’m saying goodbye to Amherst.

I worked with two gentlemen. One gentleman was Dan and he worked in the power tool aisle. He answered several of my questions, even though it was closing time. And then there is Russell who I think is the store supervisor or manager. He was extremely friendly, considering what time it was. I was at another location I would’ve been kicked out very quickly. I am overly impressed with this store.

I come here all the time. I almost didn’t want to give a negative review about this place because most of the people here are very nice and well behaved other than Harry. he’s a gentleman who I believe works on appliances so I bought a kitchen hood with the microwave and Hery forgot to mention this to me when he was ordering the item that these online appliances are not returnable. he even made me sign a contract while I was signing the contract. I gently ask him. What is this contract for? He said this is for delivery. now you might say why I did not read this contract before signing, well it is a mistake of mine by trusting his words. Other than experience with Harry my experience for the last two years, I have come here and bought all the items I needed to upgrade my house and I never had any problem or I never had anyone lying to me.
Please, dear Home Depot, educate Harry to be upfront with customers rather than trying to make a sell. Because I learned my lesson, now I have an appliances of 500$ which is useless for me.

Everyone here is very helpful. I got a few items, but the big one was a carpet steamer and Ian at the desk gave me good advice on what shampoo to get and how to use it. The steamer itself was unwieldy and a little grimy but it did the job and my carpet looks way better, and the four hour rental was very affordable. I’ve been a few times for various items and the staff have always been helpful in finding whatever I need.

Whoever that older guy working the tool rental department is, tell him I said thank you. He is the best. Always helping people even though it gets crazy busy.

Me and my boyfriend come here alot since buying our home to do alot of renovations. We've decided to go thru homedepot to purchase a new sliding door since the one we had the sealed broke after 7 years of having it. They made us sign a contract witch was never told to us that once buying this item it wasn't refundable, they also didnt have the sliding door on display but we took the advice of someone who been working over 15 years stating that they would recommend this door since its better quality. But never mentioned that it wasn't the same sliding door and that it would look completely different. It has a thicker frame and less glass. I called to see if anything can be done and they told me no. Not satisfied and supper disappointed.

5 Stars – John at Home Depot Changed My Whole Night (and Maybe My Life)

Growing up the daughter of a developer, then becoming a developer myself, and eventually marrying a general contractor… you could say Home Depot has always been part of the family. But somewhere along the way, the excitement of power tools and lumber aisles turned into more of a chore than a thrill. That is—until tonight.

After a day that absolutely wrecked me—thanks to the emotional fallout of a former friend betraying me—I asked my fiancé if we could go to Home Depot as a distraction. He needed things for work anyway, and to be honest, I just needed to be anywhere else. What I didn’t expect was to meet someone who would remind me that kindness still exists in the most unexpected places.

Enter John. Slightly older, with the warm energy of someone who’s seen a lot and still chooses to show up with a smile. He greeted us right away, even though it was 9:30pm and the store would be closing in 30 minutes. He took one look at me and—somehow—knew something was off. When he gently asked how I was doing, I surprised myself by opening up. Maybe it was the late hour, maybe it was the emotional overwhelm, or maybe it was the margarita I had at dinner… but I started to share.

John didn’t just nod or politely smile. He listened. He responded thoughtfully. He made me feel seen in a way that I truly needed tonight. When I joked about riding around in the cart while my fiancé pushed it like we were at Disneyland, he smiled and said he wouldn’t recommend it (for safety reasons), but “do what makes you happy.” So I did. And weirdly, that little ride—paired with John’s presence—turned my entire night around.

Sometimes, healing doesn’t come in the form of therapy or a grand gesture. Sometimes it comes in the form of a Home Depot employee named John, who treats you like a human when you’re feeling like a mess. This man clearly takes pride in his job and goes above and beyond for the customer experience.

Give this man a raise. Give him a trophy. Name a power drill after him. Whatever it takes to make sure John knows he’s appreciated—not just by Home Depot, but by the broken-hearted girl who left a little lighter than she came in.

Thank you, John. You reminded me that sometimes the smallest acts of humanity can make the biggest difference.

First hubby and I don't like to return items but because the heater was close to 200 us we did. I had called in advance and asked if this could be returned. It was never used, too big for our daughter's little house. I was told yes.
Well today this am the return was denied by 2 ladies working customer service, no receipt. Long story short they found my credit card purchase from July 20 and said it was passed 90 . days gleefully, brand new still wrapped. I asked for store credit and they both said no so asked to see store manager. One of the gals was the store manager for 29 years and she said no return. Disappointed in the service and the way we were spoken to.
Fyi a very friendly professional young manager took fantastic care of us at another Home Depot. I would really recommend that these 2 gals take some coaching in being basic customer service

We were returning a water heater that was not the one we needed. An associate , Andi, took us thru the process and secured a refund for us. She was helpful, polite, and most of all, friendly and cheerful. This store is lucky to have her. Many thanks, Joe and Laura
