Fantastic people and it all starts at the top with Ben. He is super on top of it and hires the best support for his clients (had a great partnership network too!). We initially came to Tembo CPAs because they were advertised to be the accountants for small businesses. In our first year, we had a responsive account manager who was proactive and worked with us to get our business setup appropriately. In the second year, we had to beg for an end of year meeting, which didn't happen. We had to beg for last minute advice on what to do, which didn't happen. The week before tax week we had more questions on what steps we could take. Three calls and multiple emails later, the only answer was welp - I'm not done your taxes but you could always do an IRA (this is no surprise). We had Tembo submit an extension on our behalf without even informing us first. We have been trying to get our taxes in order since November. They were just submitted the last week of May.

If you advertise: "Tembo was built by entrepreneurs, for entrepreneurs. Yes, we are a CPA firm. We are proactive in our tax planning" then you should probably do just that. I get it, people leave. The level of service shouldn't be at a ZERO with leaving clients hanging for weeks, if not months on end.

If you own a small business, do not use Tembo. They don't take the proactive steps that you need to be able to run your business.
