I would definitely highly recommend this business for anybody that is trying to get their commercial driver's license in a class A or class B.
They offer a 4-week intensive class with the CDL testing . They even provide a free voucher when you go to obtain your CDL license from the state of Florida.
They also offer a 2-day crash course that is highly intensive training to obtain your CDL license. Anybody that's in doubt on passing the CDL test, this is a must have course.

I just completed the two day crash course. My instructor Glenn was right on point and explained everything in a multitude of ways until he was positive that you got what he was trying to teach. His insight and tips and tricks were extremely helpful and learning everything that there is to know about your CDL license.

I would highly recommend Glenn as your instructor if you're taking the two-day crash course and then testing for your CDL. The office staff was extremely professional and knowledgeable.

Also a special thanks to Susanne in regards to job placement with companies hiring at this moment. She took the time out of her busy day to allow me to just walk in and ask her questions. She provided me the detailed list of companies and even copy them to an email to myself for easy reference.

Thank you Suncoast Trucking academy. With their help I passed the CDL licensing with no problem. Hard work and effort on behalf of myself and their instructions have led me to success.

Suncoast Trucking Academy has a really nice team of instructors. All of them are good people willing to teach you everything to be the best truck driver. Richie Smith (Instructor) and KIng Luis( Classroom teacher) were awesome, always taking care of details to make you successful in your new career. My heart was touched by all the support I got from all of them. Alan was my examiner and I can tell you I was sooooo nervous but this man was very professional and patience that made me feel confident and focused on my tests, without worry about anything but driving the truck safety. God bless all of you guys! Thank you so much Richie Smith, King Luis, Brad, Dany, Sam, Mike, Alan.. You all Rock!

I WILL NEVER FORGET THIS SCHOOL OR THE STAFF; I can’t thank them enough! Suncoast is by far one of the best schools in the Southeast Region! I won’t mention the 2 other schools that I visited or considered, but I found this school in the Google reviews of one of the other schools mentioned above (says A LOT). More than 1 reviewer pretty much wrote “if you want to go to the best school in Florida, you may as well go over to the West Coast for the same price or less” and mentioned SunCoast Trucking Academy. It’s true..

They will do everything (legally and ethically) in their power to help you pass your tests! THEY WANT YOU TO SUCEED and it shows!!

I took the 4 week manual course. My advice is for you to show up everyday and when you have time at home from the moment you receive the manual, STUDY THE PRE-TRIP. You don’t need the tractor or trailer to learn the terminology. It helps so much to have the pre-trip memorized. It’s not as hard as it seems and lots of it is repetitive.

You will get seat time here! Lots of schools cram so many students in their classes with limited trainers! At SunCoast there were never more than 3-4 students to a trainer! It matters! Anyone who has attended CDL school will tell you how important seat time is!

To sum it up, you will leave this school KNOWING how to safely and confidently operate a CMV! It’s one thing to obtain the CDL, but the feeling of knowing the tractor and trailer from front to back, inside & out, is underrated!

I went to Suncoast just to take my CDL class A skills and road test, I tested with Glen and he was great. He gave me the feeling like they were in business to do as much as possible to help me get my license and not just to make money, like the other school I tested with.

Their cost was the best I found in the whole South Florida. I spoke with Sam before my test and he was very encouraging.

Excellent school. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to get a CDL. Everyone was very helpful and dedicated to us succeeding. I was in the weekend Class A Manual class. Jerry was a terrific instructor! I could not have succeeded without him.

Good instructors , good examiners overall good school . Rich is a very good instructor and is patient and got along well with students. All the people working there are very professional. I got my CDL in December 2018 and Suncoast trucking academy was the best decision I made. Thanks to all who helped me achieve my goal. I am now working for a very good company out of Tampa going over the road. If you apply yourself you can do it but it's not a piece of cake. Good luck.
