I loved my prior accountant, who retired the end of 2023 and this firm took over. They have exhibited very poor communication on multiple occasions. They lost my tax documents last February, which I hand delivered. It came to light just before April 15th and it was a debacle getting clear and reliable communication about the status of my tax return. Recently, my book keeper at their firm left...who files my sales taxes for my business. The 29th of December, I learned she was no longer there. I had no communication about this from the firm, nor had my sales taxes been filed yet, with two days left to file. I don't feel like something as important as my taxes are in good hands when documents are lost and I can't get proper or timely communication, nor did I ever feel like I was valued as a client.

I will never use again. Our last experience was absolutely horrific. Unprofessional and the customer got blamed for mistakes that should have been caught if they had any common sense. Steer clear. You are better off using anything or anyone else. I will not use them again and cannot in any sense of the matter reccomend them for anything.

Do not hire this firm under any circumstance. Our company hired them to do our taxes, which they totally screwed up and it's impossible to get in touch with them. On January 18th they sent me a "draft K1" saying my income was more than $400K. I was told they'd have a final draft for me by March 15th. Not true! Then they sent me a "final draft" for my K1 more than two weeks after their own deadline and it was off by 25% of their "draft" with ZERO EXPLANATION! Then — TO TOP IT OFF — they sent a revised K1 for 2022 with — you guessed it — ZERO explanation. So now I have to pay my own accountant to amend last year's taxes and they can't bother explaining as to why? Try calling them, you might ask. HA. Their VM system is an endless loop without a way to leave a message or to connect with anyone. What a joke. And, mind you, we operate one of the oldest family businesses in the area, Sky Ranch Lodge, and this is how they treat their paying customers. Unreal.

UPDATE IN RESPONSE TO THIS SHADY COMPANY'S RESPONSE (ON 2/2/25) It took nine months to address the issues I raised. Unfortunately, that delay—and this response—underscores the very reason for my original review.

I am a Client and an Owner of Sky Ranch Lodge.

I am not merely “someone’s brother” but a co-owner and a Limited Partner of Sky Ranch Lodge. The claim that errors you “identified” led to tax savings is only part of the story. Your firm sent me repeated, radically different “final” K-1s (off by as much as 25% from each other) with no explanation, no supporting schedules, and no professional follow-up. Then you went silent for months on end—no phone calls, no replies, no workable voicemail. Citing John Graham (the “Managing Partner”) as your client is problematic. Under Arizona law, each Limited Partner in a limited partnership like Sky Ranch is entitled to “true and full information regarding the state of the business and financial condition” (see, e.g., A.R.S. § 29-321). You were hired to do the taxes for Sky Ranch—which in turn is owned by multiple partners. It is not solely John Graham’s personal fiefdom. Moreover, Arizona statutes governing partnerships and shareholders (e.g., A.R.S. §§ 29-305, 29-3410, 10-1602) require that all owners are provided transparent access to relevant records and accounts. For years we have raised concerns about potential misuse of partnership funds, irregular accounting, and other questionable practices by John Graham that violate both the Sky Ranch operating agreement and Arizona law. By failing to respond to legitimate queries from an equally paying co-owner, your firm effectively shields/enables these transparency issues. We have very credible evidence that John Graham has withheld financial statements, refused to disclose basic corporate data, and may have exposed Sky Ranch to legal risk. For instance, he is accused of violating A.R.S. § 29-321 (requiring full disclosure to limited partners), A.R.S. § 10-1602 (shareholder inspection rights), plus multiple provisions of the Sky Ranch operating agreement. Your firm’s willingness to ignore direct questions from a partial owner about these drastic tax return amendments—especially after we discovered internal inconsistencies—adds to the suspicion that no one is ensuring proper oversight or accountability.

5 stars all the way for Red Rock accounting group. Over the last couple years, I have used two other local accounting firms for my personal & business tax returns and I can finally say I have found home!

Red Rock checked all the boxes for me when looking for an accounting firm. Their software was very easy to use to upload my tax documents. I specifically wanted to give a shout out to Josh Brown, and Emily Stevens who worked with me and I could not be happier. Anytime I had any issues or questions, they reached back out right away.

I can't wait to keep spreading the word about Red Rock. They really are that good!

Choosing Red Rock Accounting was a costly mistake and a frustrating experience. On January 29 my husband and I scheduled an appointment to ensure we knew what documents would be needed to complete our taxes in a timely fashion. We supplied those documents within two weeks. During the next month I called four times to see the status of our return. Finally, the first week in April I received a call from Bill, who asked the some of the same questions he had during our January meeting. He also indicated our return was 'complicated'-which was the reason for our previous meeting. When we signed the documents we were quoted one price for preparing our return but when I went in to pick up the return we were charged $400 more. I was told the increase was because our return was 'complicated'-which was certainly known before the preparation fee was indicated on the forms we signed. I prepared a review but before I posted it Google Bill called indicating he would give me a partial refund if I wouldn't post it to Google. I took it down.
While they cashed my payment within three days, three weeks have now passed without receiving the promised refund. These are nice folk but if to If you are looking for competency, efficiency and effective customer communication I would NOT recommend Red Rock Accounting.
