Ameet Punwani and his staff are extremely knowledgeable, professional and approachable. I sought his services for my personal tax returns in 2012. I was extremely impressed with his not only his knowledge and expertise but his care and compassion for his clients and their bottom line. He took the initiative to review my previous tax returns, identified problems with them, refiled them and was able to get me a substantial amount of money back. I did my taxes with him last year for the 2014 taxes of my small business. He did not send out the 1099s to my subs and I contacted him about it and never did anything about the situation. The IRS sent me a letter august 2015 stating that some form was not sent out to them and got penalized $300. I used a different tax accountant this year and he confirmed that profits and gains marked on my 2014 taxes that I did not do 1099s for subs, which indeed I did hire subs. Luckily I found a good accountant this year and so far he has been very help and had better pricing too.

Unethical people. I called the company in 2013 Feb to tell them that I will like to come and sign myself when our taxes are being filed. My husband was reluctant and evasive about taxes. I called them three more times in 2013 and later found out that the taxes were already filed. I called again to ask how they have filed the taxes when I have not signed the taxes. I was told that it is all electronic and my signatures are not needed. I asked them to send me a copy of where I had authorized them to use my electronic signatures. They said that they could not find it. I knew they are helping my husband and they are doing some kind of fraud. In 2014, I went to their office to sign the tax forms and asked again to see the signed copy of 2013 taxes. They told me that they are still looking for the papers. They gave me many stories including their office is small and the files were lost and only when I threatened them to report to BBB and file a complaint, they sent me the form where I had "supposedly" authorized them to use my electronic signature.
My signature was fake. When I told them that my signature is fake, the owner, Ameet said that he does not know that it is fake.
I told them that I am telling them it is a fake and then when I asked them to show me my signatures on previous tax returns (2012, 2011) -- I was told that they had lost everything in a tragic accident.
Shame on the company.
If you are looking for a company that is reasonable and honest, try "Tax Happens". After being cheated by "Profits and Gains", I was hesitant and quite worried, but it was a pleasure to get help from "Tax Happens".
