i hate leaving bad reviews and i rarely do, but my experience with mosaic was so disappointing.

i reached out to them in 2022 to help with my complicated tax situation. we filed and everything went fine, but I realized a year later (March 2023) that there were about 4k of deductions that I forgot to declare. I emailed Scott about refiling on 4/1/23 and then again 4/25/23, and did not hear back. On Aug 27 2023 i called and also emailed with Stephanie, who said Scott would reach out. He never did.

On top of all that, there were small communication errors where they sent me emails saying i hadn’t filled in forms/paid when i had. They didn’t ask whether i wanted a tax return check or to have the balance applied to next year’s returns, just made the decision to have it applied to the following year without consulting me. Lastly, they charged me $600 to file my 2023 taxes, which was at least $300 more than every other CPA I reached out to after i gave up on mosaic.

If your taxes are completely uncomplicated, they’re probably fine. They were professional during tax season and Stephanie was very kind when I spoke to her on the phone. But to be honest, they’ve caused me more of a headache and more money than if i had just filed my own taxes in the first place.
