They had high reviews so I decided to give them a go. First thing you do is drop off previous years' returns so they can review them and make copies. AFAIK Connie is their only accountant. I dropped them off and came back a week later. She didn't recognize me and hadn't made any copies. So I gave her another week. I came back and the place was all locked up. I waited another week (3 weeks now) and I was able to speak with Connie. She thought I was someone else.

I told her that I changed my mind and would not be using their services. I then asked for my previous 3 years' returns back. She couldn't find them and again was getting me confused with other clients. After about 10 minutes she found them and gave them back to me.

Do YOU really want someone like this doing YOUR taxes!!

Connie has done my taxes ever since I could start working.
I would follow her anywhere. Now her and her excellent team own Monument Tax. They are very professional friendly and affordable. My friends and I are all reaccuring customers. Truly a great team you can trust and they go over EVERYTHING step by step with you. They always double check everything to make sure there isn't an error. I would recommend 10/10. Connie did my taxes this year for the first time. I had been with another tax person for 25 years at another company but had to change because my old preparer retired. Connie came highly recommended and I was not disappointed. I can highly recommend her.

They did our taxes last minute here. I chose them so we could support a small business. The woman who processed our taxes was very curt, short with me and did not seem understanding at all that I had just had a baby so I was more disorganized this year than what is my norm. Then, I had to correct her about not having a penalty for withdrawing from our 401K in 2020 because of Trump's covid rule waiving the penalty. This saved us several hundred dollars that would have been lost had I not questioned it.

Some of the other people I talked to in passing seemed more courteous and professional, but after my experience with the one who worked with us, we will definitely not be coming back.
