What a disappointing business/customer service. I live in Old Town so I thought I would find a local account to help me with my personal and business taxes/company formation. I walked in to schedule an appointment in late April, and understandably, they were quite busy finishing up tax season. They took down all of my info and said they have me one of the waitlist and would reach out in 2-3 weeks.

🕗 5 weeks later I walked in again to see if I could schedule an appointment since I had not heard back yet. After a chaotic sequence of their office dog running out the door into the street as soon as I opened it to come in, one of the employees said the scheduler was out to lunch and said they would have her call me right when they got back from lunch. It is now a week later and I never received a call or email from this business.

Though I cannot speak to the work that they do as accountants, the way they run their business towards a prospective customer is incredibly disappointing. I recently recounted my experience with Momentum to a friend, and they said they had a friend who had the exact same lack of service and follow up. Unfortunately for Momentum, this was someone who had recently come across $500M and was looking for support with how to navigate such a large sum tax wise 😬. Can't say I was going to be playing with as much money but a customer is a customer and both us us received the same poor service. At least there is consistency and equality here...? 🙃
