We visited Mitsukoshi Ginza mall primarily to explore the underground area which offers a wide selection of delicious pastries and snacks. I picked up a few items as souvenirs and overall they all tasted pretty good. The variety and quality made it a worthwhile stop.

A very fine and exclusive department store in Ginza hosted an annual tea event on its 7th floor. One of the highlights was the booth by Senchaism, a tea brand led by Per Oscar Brekell. I had the opportunity to taste several varieties of sencha, as well as a delightful hojicha that I imagine will be perfect for winter.

A standout treat was the sencha butter sandwich cookie. While sweets like this are typically made with matcha, the sencha version offered a fresher, more nuanced flavor that I greatly enjoyed.

Oscar’s presentation was both engaging and educational, leaving me with a deeper understanding of Japanese green tea. I sincerely hope to see Senchaism featured again at next year’s event, as it added something truly special to the experience.

It was recommended by a good friend who came to Japan for business and travels often that if we didn't want to wait for food in a restaurant during shopping, we can just go to the food court located at B2 of this department store.

Once when we got into the building, we saw many stores of the luxury brands with crowded shoppers.

And oh my gosh! All the food at B2 is displayed so beautifully and looked so appetizing! Prices are very reasonable! You've got to come and try some although it's very hard to pick just a little for your stomach. ? But you have to carry your food to the 9th floor which is a very spacious space that you can sit and eat your food or just relax and enjoy the rooftop garden.
