Review Update: In the end we found out that an extension was never filed so we also lost out on the Tabor Tax refund of $1800 due to Ryan's complete incompetence and extremely poor communication skills! All he had to do was call or write an email saying he couldn't do what I thought I hired them to do! Now there are more reviews of how terrible this company has treated patroned clients and now they are closing, it makes me happy to know I did not wait any longer for him.

When Mike had the business he did a great job. His help Ryan continued running the business after Mike passed every year since Mike passing we have been delayed on the completion of our taxes. We call Ryan today 10/28 and ask how soon our taxes will be done and tells he will not be doing our taxes this year and he will be closing the business next year. What a pile of poo he could have let us know that when we gave him our taxes complete. Don’t know what Ryan will do in the future. Do not do any business with Ryan ever. He really left us in trouble now we trying to find somebody to do our taxes before the end year Ryan you suck

I used these guys for years. They really dropped the ball for my 2023 taxes. They had all my info since February and had to file an extension on my behalf. Then they finally "did" my taxes but missed some of the documents I sent them. I reached out days after I got all of my stuff saying I owed more than $5k. Talked with Ryan and he was supposed to update/revised them and he went dark. I left messages... 5 days before they were due, I had to find a new accountant. This new company got them done and I got a huge refund in the end. Run, run, run from this place. And I'm getting billed for this crappy work and service. What a joke!

If you're looking for a place to do tax preparation for your business and personal, I advise you to run far from this business. I sent over my tax information to Ryan on 3/6/2024, and after many unreturned calls and emails I finally have come to the conclusion that this place is either way over their heads or just poor at their jobs. I called Ryan on 6/3 no response, emailed on 6/4 no response, and wrote a final email today, which I'm sure will go un-responded too. Along with many un-returned phone calls and emails over the last 3 months. When I last spoke to Ryan on 4/18/2024 he said he would be starting my stuff in a couple weeks, I wait 6 weeks.... 6 WEEKS with absolutely NOTHING from them. I used Debbie which I believe is Michael's sister from over 15 years and my parents used her for 35 years, after he untimely passing it left us heart broke as she was an extension of our family. Debbie's son told me to give Micheal and Bates a call and see if they could help, worst decision I ever made. And lastly, I am also left not knowing if they ever filed an extension, because Ryan cannot communicate properly!! So here I go now 2 months overdue on filling having to find a company that will actually do the job Ryan with Micheal and Bates said he could do!!

I've decided to edit my original review as I feel it was made in haste and unfair. The problem as problems go was very minor and easily corrected. Not only did Michael Bates correct the problem, he took it a few steps farther and saw to it that any further problems on my end were corrected as well. Accountability goes a long way in my book. Whether your accounting needs are big or small, if you're looking for a local accountant, give him a call and see if he is right for you.
