When I contacted the McCland Law Firm, I was (pretty much) in despair. My husband died and I felt completely lost. Decades ago, Stacy was a student in my Honors Anatomy & Physiology class. I remembered her as a student who did her very best work-- always prepared for labs, tests, and class. Initially, I didn’t contact the McCland Law Firm because I believed it was best to stay close to home for probate. I made a HUGE mistake when I signed a contract with another firm. Although my husband and I were married for nearly four decades, this first firm was managing my probate as if I were going through a divorce, even advising that I had no choice; I would lose half of my assets! Stacy worked to terminate the first attorney through the Marion Co. Courts. Then, the McCland Law Firm wasted no time as they worked to complete my probate in an extremely efficient manner. I was frequently advised regarding progress and all communication was easy to understand. The firm's fees were very reasonable. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the McCland Law firm to those I care about. Working with Stacy and her assistant (Ashley) was a pleasure and I received optimal results.

"Caution" !!!
The wrong attorney can be detrimental to your case. Do your due diligence, be careful with referrals...
One year into Probate Litigation, I had to substitute counsel. Ms McCland requested discovery of my business from opposing counsel.
Apparently, retrieving this information from Ocala to Kissimmee was too daunting. Ms McCland actually said "should we just trust THEIR numbers"
I was totally floored... Incompetence or laziness, I'm not sure...
Legal couriers deliver documents everyday.
I was clear and consise during our consults. Many options originally suggested to me were "walked" back when I inquired later.
I overlooked various issues, incorrect names/dates, extremely heavy handed billing but this was the final straw!!
My hope is to spare someone else what I've endured...
