The architecture and decor is amazing. It’s really nice actually but unfortunately, this place is inundated by homeless, drug addicts, and very unsavory people. Bathroom facilities are disgusting, pure feces on the wall and seldomly gets cleaned. I understand it’s a train station and a bus station but still security and overall management should do a better job and getting people cleared away if they’re not actual customers here. Not sure what loitering laws are applied.

I took the 3am flyaway LAX shuttle bus from here. Very handy and reliable service. Nice buildings and interiors. Also, there is a Wetzel Pretzel inside, absolutely love that place!! The major highlight of Union Station for me, besides the easy and accessible different modes of transport. Lots of funny characters around the station, too. But hey, that’s LA for ya.

AMTRAK ARE CROOKS LOOKING FOR THEIR NEXT VICTIM!!!! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER AND THEY REFUSE TO GIVE ME A REFUND. I was traveling in October and decided to use Amtrak train service and it was the worst decision I've made in traveling. The train was over three hours late. We were able to board the train but had to wait for the conductors to arrive. We sat on that track for three hours and were told we were unable to leave or they would give up the seat. I called the customer service number while waiting on the train but was on hold for more than an hour and gave up. Then I decided to email them what happened and just ask for a refund because I was going to miss my plane and have to get a hotel for that night as well as another flight. After all that my email went unanswered until this week. I received an email stating that they were sorry for the late reply and that they were behind in response times but to call a number they listed to talk to a customer service representative. Well guess what, the number listed that they gave me was actually to scheduling and then scheduling transferred me over to the customer service holding line. I was on hold for 45 minutes before someone answered. After all that I told the person the reason for my call and gave the case number they listed and the rep told me that all that could be done was for him to email me a ticket value coupon for half the price of my original ticket. I would have to travel back there just to use it and I can't refund it or redeem it or regift it. So a completely useless item that they think I would want to use or travel with them again. I was so disappointed, this is terrible customer service. They are basically crooks that stole my money and wasted my time. The kicker is I never received the email with the ticket in it. I am completely outdone by this and will be informing as many people as I can so that no one else will be a victim of their unprofessionalism.

I recently traveled from Los Angeles to Tucson. I must say the train was disgusting. It was absolutely filthy. I had been traveling with my 4 year old and my husband. We thought it was a cute idea to take the train home after Disneyland. It was a mistake. The crew had a level of contempt for the couch passengers that was palpable. Why not provide adequate facilities and staff? It's 2022 climate change should get everyone excited about rail travel. Why not offer a good product or more tiers of service? I normally do not write any company normally but my daughter and I both developed rashes on our faces. It's awful. I would have paid more for the ticket if it meant we had a clean car. Even if you cater to people on lower income they also deserve dignity and respect as they too are paying to ride your train. Please do better.
