Meredith and Gracie got me through my divorce with my sanity ! She has a great client handbook, she remembers so many details without even checking notes. Her paralegal is on top of things and always gave me advanced notice and reminders of deadlines and other events. Meredith is also very straight to the point. She would tell me things like “you can be upset about this the rest of today. Then you need to get it together” and my favorite “stop borrowing trouble.” Sometimes I didn’t want to do what she told me, but I did anyway, because I’m paying for her advice. A year later, I’m so happy I listened to her! She told me to give it a year and I would feel like a different person, and I do. I feel like the person I used to be, with my character and values intact.

Highly recommend. I retained Ms. Baker to take care of estate planning items. She and her paralegal communicate quickly, stay organized and gave me feedback regarding ideas that I had. Ms. Baker was happy to receive feedback about edits and changes and answered my questions a few times even though sometimes it was the same question. She was also available after work hours and on the weekend which made it easy for me to get things done.

I had the unfortunate experience of hiring Meredith, and it was a nightmare from start to finish. Her unethical behavior was glaringly evident, as she frequently engaged in misconduct and seemed more interested in her own interests than in serving her clients. Not only did she provide inadequate representation, but I often felt like I was educating her on basic legal concepts. Critical deadlines were missed, and key evidence was ignored, leading to a disastrous outcome in my case. When I tried to address my concerns, she became defensive and dismissive, showing no accountability for her actions. Meredith Baker did our divorce mediation, and it was one of the biggest mistakes I have ever made. During the mediation, her computer kept deleting portions of our agreement. Who knows what important wording was left out. The way she wrote the agreement created major problems that I now need to have corrected. Her improper wording in the divorce decree ended up costing me dearly.

Additionally, toward the end of the mediation she said she was not qualified to handle an aspect of our case, and that we needed to hire a different mediator to handle that portion. This felt like a bait & switch, which surprised me, since the information pertaining this matter was clearly outlined in the packet of information we sent her in advance. This issue proved devastating, as my entire career of 22 years collapsed as a direct result of her failure to disclose her limitations in advance. I never would have used her if I knew she couldn’t handle all of the issues. I now have had to spend over $37,000 in legal fees to fix this problem, with no end in sight. As a result, I have had to hire additional attorneys who to this day have not been able to resolve these matters with my ex. When I mentioned this early on to Meredith, she said I would have to pay her more money to get the wording fixed. These were problems that she created, and I wasn’t about to pay her to fix her mistakes. I’m considering reporting her to the state bar for her mishandling of these matters.

Not sure where to start here. When I first consulted with Meredith I wasn't sure. I quickly realized I was not in a good place, mentally, and chose to trust Meredith. To some she might come off as rude and condescending. In actuality, she is no nonsense and values you and her's time. Shortly there after I realized Meredith was more than my attorney. She was my counselor, a therapist, a mental health coach and the only companion whom I would choose to ever walk through the HELL that is divorce. The overall outcome was far beyond what I expected. Is she expensive? Yes. Do you get your money's worth? Yes, and then some.
