I am a first time mom who was unsure if I wanted to breastfeed or not. Things went well with latching/feeding in the hospital but I was discharged on a Friday and ended up TERRIBLY engorged by late Saturday night. I researched everything to try to fix the issues on my own but i started to look for lactation help as it only worsened. I was SO incredibly thankful to discover that Kristyn makes home visits, especially on weekends when no one else was available. I sent an application on the website early Sunday, worried that because it was last minute, a weekend, and knowing she had family, that she wouldn’t respond or be able to help. Kristyn responded quickly to the application and said she could be over to help us that afternoon. As a new mom who was in so much pain, I was never more relieved than when she walked into our home. She was professional, kind, calm, and so loving to my son and I. She worked with us for almost 3 hours to help resolve my issues and educated on how to better move forward to prevent them from coming back.
Kristyn is a true blessing to the community. She will make difference to every mom and baby she works with, no matter what their feeding journey looks like. My son is a month old and still exclusively breastfeeding - something I know wouldn’t have been possible without Kristyn. We are forever grateful.
