Penalty from IRS

When I moved to Colorado, I was in need of a tax preparer. Noticing the high marks that Laird and
Associates received on the internet, I contacted Jerry Laird to interview him. He impressed me with
his knowledge, and I was grateful that he would take me on as a client.
2016 was the first time I paid him to do my taxes, and I was pleased with the results. I was sent a link to review Laird's work, and I gave him a favorable review because I had no reason to think otherwise.
It was a different story in 2017. I dropped off my taxes in May and he didn't ask me any questions about my taxes until 10/2 He sent me the information for filing on 10/15. On 11/28, I emailed him asking
him why I received a penalty notice in the mail from the IRS. I re-sent him the 10/10 email I sent him detailing
my estimate and overpayments. A few weeks later, the IRS contacted me to say that I underpaid my taxes. The IRS accounting of my estimates and overpayments matched mine exactly. The figures were the same
as what I emailed to Laird on 10/10. Jerry responded via email saying that the IRS must have made a mistake. I have made several attempts to contact Laird for an explanation, but he will not respond. Since he
won't talk to me about the penalty I received from the IRS, I can only
assume he did not read my email about the estimates and overpayment before he did my taxes, and it is his fault which is why he doesn't want to talk to me.
I have emailed and called asking him to explain the penalty.
He has not returned my calls or read my emails about setting up a time to discuss
the penalty. Before I used him as my CPA, I asked him what happens if there is a mistake.
He said if it is his fault, he would pay the penalty. Giving him ample opportunity to address this issue and explain himself, he has not, so I want my money back.

Extremely unprofessional, untimely, disrespectful! Don't waste your money or time!! My husband I opened up an LLC with them and tried to get our back taxes in order. Paid $1000 here we are 7 months later being told if we want this to be done faster we should call IRS and do the work. Our LLC was established but we were given a blank LLC binder just cookie cutter paper work. They cant give you any advice on how to do anything for legal reasons. Find a lawyer or just go online anything this man can do you can do better and cheaper somewhere else. Avoid this establishment at all costs!!!!! Jerry will hang up on you if you start to questions his abilities or workmanship.
