I was fortunate enough to work with Sharon over the course of ten sessions. In the first session, Sharon asked me what my expectations were for the sessions or if I had any goals. I hadn’t ever worked with an executive coach so I was very unsure going into that first session - Sharon’s openness and inquisitive nature helped me get clarity. Once I articulated my goals and as the session progressed, Sharon would often go back to that goal to help me connect why certain behaviors, circumstances or choices were either helping me reach that goal or keeping me from attaining it.

There were several tools Sharon gave me that were really applicable. They were clear and usable. Sometimes when working with someone, their advice or tools are too ambiguous or take too much work. Sharon would give me questions to ask myself like, “Is this my work to do?” when I was struggling with prioritizing my workload. I use that simple question in so many ways from task assignments to conversations both in my professional life and my personal life.
