Excellent location whilst travelling south on M6. Great parking, spaces bigger than normal, especially for a 4x4. No evening restaurant, but a lovely pub next door. Room size for family room, small but very clean and comfy bed. Breakfast basic but free, eat as much as you like. We definitely returning. Great value. A++×+

Our stay here was very impromptu because we were travelling home from a weekend away and when the motorway was closed for several hours it was late. My self, my wife and children were all very tired so we tried our luck here. The manager was brilliant and found us a family room for a cheap rate which had breakfast included. The next morning we headed down for breakfast, the staff was brilliant, the food was delicious! The room was clean and tidy, the hotel as a whole was clean too. I would recommend this place highly

This hotel is weirdly really special to us as a family! Stayed here about 4 times now for easy access to the Mountain Bike racing at nearby Cannock forest. The staff are all really lovely, comfortable quiet and clean rooms, breakfast is always great. Very family friendly. The best thing about it is that there are always interesting guests, as it is so close to the exhibition centres, so great for people-watching! And the Greene King pub opposite is great.

Amazing staff. Really friendly and helpful - all of them!! Very clean in restaurant area and decent breakfast. Cooked us nice veggie sausages fresh. Bedroom was modern, clean and had good facilities. Very quiet in the room Handy parking. Wish there was an ev charger but overall really great for the price!!!

Keep those expectations low. I paid £95 for the room, and it was far from that value. Paper thin walls meant I could hear rooms both next to me and above. Especially, people walking in the room directly above.

There's no air con, just a window or a very tiny radiator. When I arrived the window had been open all day and the room was very cold, with little chance of warming it up.

The bed was a glorified camp bed.

I can say that the location is excellent for anyone needing to be near the M6 and the staff very polite.

We have stayed here previously but not for a while and it was just as good as I remembered. We stayed for 3 nights and it was wonderful. Checked in by Edel who was great for the entire stay (They work alot of hours) The bed was super comfy, very clean room, great breakfast even though some work is being carried on so it was moved to the meeting rooms but that worked well with hardworking staff. |Nothing is missing in the hotel they even have a microwave, plates, cutlery etc so you can grab a take away or make something. Plenty of parking and the rooms are really quiet.

Well after years of suffering the ever deteriorating standards of Premier Inns we decided that we would take our custom elsewhere.||First stay going north and the second coming back a week or so later but in the same room.||So on this trip to Scotland we thought that on the journey north and back a week later we would take night stops at the Holiday Inn Express at Stafford. Well the price was good on the way up but pretty expensive on the way back home! This is what they call dynamic pricing. Personally I think it is a disgraceful way of making more money. However, that apart we arrived to a good car park with plenty of room. On the way up we were checked in quickly and efficiently by Kay. We were soon in the lift and on our way to our room on the second floor. The room was on the small side but very nice and clean and well appointed. It had tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryer, telephone and TV. It also had a window that could actually be opened to let in fresh air. Now that’s a good idea! Premier Inn please note. There is no air conditioning but there was a fan. At this time of year though air conditioning was not required. Even being close to the motorway and the window open it was very quiet. There were no screaming children or wild Hen parties retuning to their rooms at all hours. The lighting in the room was quite dim. The lights were all small LED’s. It shows the age of the hotel when the room ceiling was Artexed and coved! The bathroom was good with a shower but no bath but that suited us fine. There was Dove soap, shampoo, body wash and a razor point. One complaint though is that the toilet paper sheets are minute (8.5 x 9.5cm) and very thin!. Any smaller then they would be not much bigger than a postage stamp! My advice is to take your own toilet roll! Breakfast the next morning was good. Usual buffet fare but all fresh and hot. The toaster worked well with only one pass of the bread needed. The coffee machine also worked well. Breakfast is taken in a large ‘open plan’ area next to reception. All very clean with plenty of staff on hand. Again no noisy badly behaved children charging about. All in all a pleasant experience. ||However on the way back a week later we had the same room. All was as before on the way up except we were kept awake until around 01:00 with banging doors and talking in corridor. There was evidently a ‘biker’ show that weekend! The cost of the same room that night was over double than on the way up. Dynamic pricing again. All I can say is never again will we stay on a Saturday night!||So all together I award it 4 stars.

The bed was really uncomfortable, which meant I didn't sleep well. Breakfast was good, fresh ingredients and friendly staff. The reception staff were hit and miss, didn't always feel welcoming, a smile would make a huge difference. Free parking on site. The pub opposite has a decent menu for dinner. Location requires a car.
