When I signed up for Fund and Grow, I was excited about the prospect of receiving $250,000 in funding over four rounds, as advertised. However, my experience has been disappointing and has cost me far more than the program has gained for me. I am writing this review to provide constructive feedback for both potential customers and Fund and Grow to improve their practices.

Miscommunication and Broken Promises

Initially, I was told I could act as my partner’s point of contact due to his unavailability during the day (he works the night shift). We both confirmed this arrangement, even providing limited power of attorney for me to act on his behalf. However, Fund and Grow later stated I could no longer act as his point of contact due to an unexplained policy change. My partner rearranged his schedule twice to speak with Jennifer: the first call was a no-show with no apology, and the second call was over an hour late, leaving him feeling undervalued. This poor communication caused my partner to drop out before even starting, forcing me to find a new partner mid-term, which limited funding opportunities.

Unfulfilled Promises on LLC Formation

Another issue was the promise to create an LLC for me. I was initially told Fund and Grow would handle this and send the paperwork. After months of waiting and follow-ups, I was told via email that I would need to handle the LLC formation myself, with instructions provided. This was a significant deviation from their original promise and wasted months of my time.

Unexplained Policy Changes

When I asked for clarification about policy changes, I was informed that there were no formal disclosures or updates they could provide, even though my current contact contradicted earlier promises. It feels like policies change arbitrarily without notifying clients, leaving customers to adjust to moving goalposts.

Reduced Funding and Misleading Advertising

When I signed up, Fund and Grow advertised up to $250,000 and four rounds of funding. Now, I am being told I can only receive $50,000–$100,000 and three rounds. This was a significant downgrade from the original promise. Additionally, I was led to believe I wouldn’t be a personal guarantor for business funding, but this turned out to be false. Fund and Grow also claimed the funding would not show up on my personal credit, yet they failed to disclose that creditors can still pursue you personally in the event of a default. Moreover, I learned later that I am responsible for removing inquiries myself or paying their “partner” company for the service—something that should have been disclosed upfront.

Final Thoughts

While I appreciate the concept of Fund and Grow, my experience has been marred by poor communication, broken promises, and misleading advertising. I believe in holding companies accountable, and this review is meant to help Fund and Grow reflect on their processes and improve transparency for future clients.

To potential clients: proceed with caution. Make sure you ask detailed questions about personal guarantees, funding amounts, and policy changes upfront.
