I had to find a new therapist when mine went to a new practice and my insurance no longer covered her and I couldn’t afford self pay. I followed recommended online reviews and gave Couch Counseling a try. My red flags and discernment went off from the second I sat down on her couch. She spent 25 minutes trying to “figure out her MacBook password so she could log into her computer.” She asked me if I knew how to change an Apple password. She asked me 30 minutes in what my name was. She was all over the place and very fidgety. I felt like she wasn’t listening to understand, only to respond and her responses seemed to be disingenuous and cookie cutter. She answered a personal phone call during session (I don’t normally mind this), however with the climate of how things were already going, it was just an added face palm for me. I felt like I was her last session of the day and she was over it. I get it, I do, but it just didn’t sit well with me. I called a friend of mine after to tell her my experience and she told me she wish she would have known it was her because in her profession, she sees Edith a lot and her experiences weren’t positive either. Maybe it was a fluke or an off day, but all the red flags coupled with a trusted friend’s professional and personal opinion on her not being good, it was just overall not a great experience for me. I won’t be back.

Mrs. Edith Couch is absolutely amazing. I have never felt comfortable in therapy until I walked in Couch Counseling. I didn’t dread going to therapy like previously. The therapy dogs are a huge plus!! You never know how much comfort a dog can bring during a session, but Edith’s dogs are the best shoulders to cry on!! Edith made me feel comfortable and she listened and helped me through a very hard time in my life. Edith is the best of the best!! I can’t tell you enough about how wonderful she is. She listens and helps you and makes you feel very comfortable!! We even had sessions outside in the garden where it was so peaceful. I never dread going to sessions like previous sessions at other therapists. I can’t stress the importance of having a therapist that you click with and one that has uncomfortable conversations but is also there for you to help you!! You have to have a connection to make your sessions have the most impact!! Edith is so easy to connect with and support you!! Her staff is beyond amazing. Andrea is wonderful with getting sessions scheduled and willing to answer any questions you may have with no hesitation. They go above and beyond and I am grateful for them!! Thank you Edith and Andrea for always being here for your clients.

Mrs. Couch has been one of the best and most prompt individuals to deal with through the whole process of our journey! I’d highly recommend this woman/office to anyone for their counseling and advising needs. Quite possibly the most positive force in my life, Edith is a compassionate and knowledgeable therapist who has the professional experience to discuss complex issues. In addition to our therapy sessions, she offers real-life tools and resources that have been life changing for me and my family. Her staff go above and beyond to make me feel welcome which leads to more open and honest sessions with Edith. I now know that I have access to a phenomenal therapist who truly listens non-judgmentally. Edith gives me clarity, peace of mind, and the courage to believe in myself. Edith Couch and her whole staff are the best out of this community and all surrounding communities. Edith as well as other staff members have helped my family and I in more ways than you could ever imagine. Edith is one of the most caring, honest, trustworthy and loving counselors I have had the pleasure of working with during our family’s hard times. She put in a lot of long hard hours with us some even after hours. She establishes a true client/counselor relationship of trust and loyalty. I have never seen a counselor that truly cares and loves her clients. She can relate to you in many ways and will tell you how it is and give you the best tools and ways to help you with your issues. You want a coucelor that’s honest and to the point. Anything else is only wasting your time and money. Her prices are also very reasonable and covered by most Insurances. She is very knowlagable of all walks of life and I have yet to hear of anyone that she has not done her best to help overcome their problems and even after the sessions are completed she continues to check in our her clients from time to time to make sure their are ok. She is very active in the community and within the family courts. She is also a very strong animal advocate and will do all she can to help even animals in need. Edith started out as only a simple counselor to our family but over the years even after the sessions were completed we now think of her as part of the family! We love her and her office staff very much! If you have a choice. I would not chose anyone to care for my families emotional, spiritual, mental and all around well being other than Edith Couch Counseling!
