Rich has been taking care of my portfolio for 25 years. He told me he had my best interest in mind until I wanted to take my IRA out of mutual funds and put into a money market because the market was tanking, He tried to talk into a five-year annuity. Not the best investment for me but a real nice commission for him. I looked it up and he could have made between $4000 and $12000 commission. What would when I get older and become more vulnerable? I think he cared more about himself than me. I fired him.

My experience with Canter & Mcdaniel CPA’s was absolutely the most unprofessional and demeaning experience I’ve had as a business owner. Rich was paid on time and in full for services regarding, and for, my S-Corp and personal taxes. After performing these services, to the bare minimum of expectations, Rich became unavailable or unwilling to answer basic follow up questions and concerns regarding his work, and the repair of mistakes my former accountant had made, which Rich was paid to remedy. On the one occasion  that I was able to reach him, he was so condescending and demeaning that I simply gave up and moved on. I have a hard time believing that this was an isolated incident or interaction with Rich. I am of the opinion that Rich is an entitled and disrespectful person who does not value his clientele or fellow members of his community. If you’re reading this review I truly hope that you keep searching as I’m certain you will find an accountant more qualified, more respectful, and better in nearly every way, with a bare minimum of effort on your behalf. RUN.
