Finding a coach who strikes the right balance of pushing you to dig deep around self-discovery while simultaneously serving as the person who positively reinforces the aspects of your best self is Brent’s hallmark. I had the pleasure of working as one of Brent’s direct reports for six years, up until 2012 and he’s served as one of my most trusted advisers since that time. Brent’s intuition about when and where to delve in and explore something further is impeccable. Never pushing you too far, but getting you to do the hard work of the “why” behind what makes you tick as a leader. All of this is balanced out with Brent’s quick witted humor which keeps things light hearted and fun. Brent earns my highest recommendation as a trusted adviser and coach.

Brent ‘the magician’. Just when I started to firm up my leadership and management style, approach and techniques I had acquired over decades, Brent came along and challenged them all. He proved me wrong on many fronts for all the right reasons, which initially seemed nothing but wrong and frustrating too. Initially, I did not understand or comprehend the need for a management coach arranged by my employer, as I never had one before nor felt the need of having one. Little did I know what started off as a year-long receiver-giver arrangement between myself and Brent would turn out to be a significant life-altering experience for me – and that too a wholesome one! Though I can write pages about Brent’s numerous qualities and characteristics as a person and a coach but I would like to state some of his qualities that resonated with me the most. My initial apprehensions took a 180 degrees’ turn only because of Brent’s patient listening ability and rightly-timed and strategic intervention. Of course, no transformation can happen without the client having to deal with facing his/her own set of challenges/blind spots/fears. My case was no different, though I feel it wouldn’t have been as gratifying if Brent had not been extremely patient and encouraging. My journey of transformation happened unconsciously and unknowingly as he prepared me to challenge my own fixations – such is his influence; subtle yet impactful. He has this magical ability to get to the bottom of his client’s problem areas hidden deep inside them and help them overcome with confidence. Not sure if it’s his experience or exposure or just that he’s gifted and simply a godsend, he could un-intimidatingly see through me and always made me very comfortable with him knowing me more than I knew myself. This put me on my own path of self-discovery and transformation as a result of which I am now able to see my co-workers at a deeper layer – seeing them more as humans and individuals before being my colleagues and team members. I am able to appreciate them more and have a renewed sense of deeper respect for not just my colleagues but everyone in general. I used to look forward to our bi-weekly sessions like an excited kid looking forward to going to a park :-). Though our officially agreed sessions came to an end but Brent has left me with abundant wealth of self- and people-awareness that will stay with me for the rest of my life. I am told by my co-workers and friends that they now see me as imparting significant life lessons with ease even when we are discussing business matters or just chatting in general. I would like to believe that they are able to absorb that and see the new me because of the invaluable exposure, experience and realization Brent has took me through. Whatever I have managed to and will continue to gain in my leadership journey would never have been possible without Brent. I would strongly recommend Brent as the most amazing, influential and magical coach and mentor to anyone and everyone who feel they have either plateaued their growth, are on top of their game or are experiencing a leadership challenge. I have no doubt they will surely find a whole new world of skills, strengths and character within them after they have spent time with Brent. Simply put - he is truly a magician!
