So the story goes. I started a small business and asked a friend who he used which was this company. So I have been a client for the past 4 years. Possibly five. Can't quite remember. When last year we were told that our personal advisor had "retired" literally the last week before they were due. And had to go to a different accountant to finish that year's taxes. It was a complete disaster. The previous accountant had not filled out all the proper paperwork so there was no way for them to confirm what I was saying and did not have any of those documents with me because some were obscure and others I knew were there. (But they weren't there because he never did them) so I would not have them anyways.
The cherry on top was when I received a certified letter on November 6th, 2022 but they were sorry and they were taking the company in a different direction and would not need me as a client anymore. As I look at my calendar and realize tax season is in less than 4 months. So now I'm left trying to fit in with a new accountant that I don't know. They could have at least done this months ago or given me a referral to another accountant. I spent a lot of money with these people possibly not as much as their huge business clients that they do payroll for and everything else. But still I'm a small business with a family trying to make it and got screwed more than once. First their accountant that was doing shady things and who knows what he did with my numbers. Then to drop me because most likely I was one of his so they are dropping all of them. I'm sure.
I waited to write this when I was not super red in the face. But it's still angers me that this business has no integrity. I would not suggest anyone go to it. There was no reason to drop me as a client, especially the way they did it.

Horrible experience and way too expensive. I'm retired military with a pension check of about $39k a year and I made $700 door dashing. They said I'll get back $309 and then charged me $304 for their services saying that it's because I own my own business of door dashing LoL! I also dropped my taxes off early February and they didn't complete them until April 3rd. Probably could have done them myself in 1hr. Never going back

Just stopped provided cpa services without even a call or notice, I got word from another cpa service they threw some other clients to curb and I just called in to check the status of my account with them and then was told yes we don’t do book keeping anymore. It would be nice to let people know instead of leaving them in the dark

I did my own taxes the last two years. Used Liberty or Jackson-Hewitt before that. This year was a difficult rerun with a child in college and an out-of-state return. They completed and at a lower price than I paid the other guys.

Would like to know how its ok to increase your rates bye 35% in a year.. I thought Trump gave tax breaks to the rich ? Apparently Mr. Barlas didnt get enough of a break ? I did however notice he rented a new office across the hall. Maybe he needed us as clients to pay for it ? Will be looking elsewhere..
