I get most of my healthcare through Banner and have not had any trouble in the years I have used them. Staff are courteous and helpful when I need assisstance as a blind patient, my varioys doctors do their jobs well, and so far the surgery and medical procedures I have undergone at Banner have been a success.

I had an apt at 2PM 4-11-22. I was told to be there 15 minutes early and had filled out the three page pre appointment packet. I was greeted by a very friendly receptionist and taken back to the Dr. Office pretty quickly, things were looking good. The nurse was very kind and made it a point to check the documents I took the time to fill out and even asked questions about them. Then she left…and crickets…I didn’t not see another person for over 30 minutes. Finally Dr Odeke walked in and the first thing out of his mouth was (after mentioning the confusion of my married vs maiden name) I’m not sure why you are here. 😳
After some discussion and figuring out during the 30 minutes of leisure he clearly had not once looked at my pre apt documents, he continued to get my surgeries confused and switched around, then asked if I had ever had steroid injections. I have, and recently. Did you know that you cannot do a cortisol work up if you have had steroids of any kind within 6 weeks (or was it 3 months cause he told me both time frames)? I didn’t eIther and guess what, all the people I spoke with working up to my apt didn’t bother to ask me that or let me know that either. I suggested that it was a good idea to let future patients know about the steroid issue going forward because some of them might be taking an entire afternoon off work and driving a total of 4 hours to be told by a learned doctor that he didn’t know why they were there and there was nothing that could be done for them. BUT we could schedule for another appointment in 3 months to get that cortisol work up done. I stood up and said so we are done then?, on the verge of a break down, he said yes, I said thanks for your time and walked out of the door he asked my back if I wanted to make an apt in 3 months and I kept walking said no thank you. Went out the door and said what a waste of time. To the lady that was waving and hollering that she could help me from another office, thank you, but I needed to leave the building before I did or said something irrational. My advice is if you are seeking an endocrinologist specialist seek it somewhere other than here. Or from this Dr.

Just don’t even bother. Endocrinology specifically is an absolute joke. And a nightmare. Doctors don’t listen to patients. That’s if there’s a doctor left after they all “retired” without informing patients. Incorrect prescriptions and no doc to contact. I will not be paying for visits as the money isn’t deserved nor was it earned.
