These guys are supposed to work to find us every penny for our refund. Due to our own mistake, my wife and I ended up owing Uncle Sam $2700. BUT, APA did not count my wife's student classes and what she was paying for them. This year (2020) we used H&R Bloc and they identified this omission. H&R Bloc matched APA filing fee and re-examined our taxes from last year for free. H&R Bloc found $440 that was missed from the year before and actively worked with us to get it back (minus a $40 re-filing fee). We will be going to H&R Bloc from now on.
