I went through Arcata Property Management for my housing last year (2020-2021) and had Julie as my landlord. I had a very great and easy experience and attribute that to Julie's responsiveness and friendliness. Rent has never been so easy for me to handle before and any time I needed work done Julie was very responsive and on top of things. I highly recommend anyone go through APM and Julie when looking for their next place to live!

I rented 2 properties from APM over the course of 5 years while I was a student at California Polytechnic State University, Humboldt. Their property managers are very respectful and professional. Upon leaving a clean home, we received our full deposit back, and they always made repairs quickly. They also were there when we locked ourselves out, and assisted us in getting a new fridge (when ours broke) and security screen doors. All in all very happy with the service we received. I would recommend anyone rent from Arcata Property Management.

I am leaving a one star review because I made many honest attempts to contact whomever handles tenants and prospective tenants, who I suppose is Julie, and I never received a response. I always made sure to contact Arcata Property Management during the posted office hours, which are considerably limited, being 11am-2pm Mon, Wed, Fri. At one point someone picked up and was friendly and answered my questions about a unit I was interested in and informed me of what I could do to proceed. I did as she suggested and followed up via emails, phone calls and texts and never received a response. After nearly three weeks of being persistent, yet being respectful in my communication, the unit I was interested in was removed from the listing. This was very saddening and very frustrating given the current rental situation and given that I feel very poorly treated. I don’t believe I’ll rent through Arcata Property Management in the future.

The worst property management group I've ever encountered. The house I rented through them had a downstairs unit with two tenants in it and this wasn't indicated anywhere on the posting for the house. We had no choice but to share bills with these other tenants which made paying bills a mess, and the downstairs tenants refused to pay anymore than a predetermined flat rate that they came up with.

Arcata Property almost never picked up when I called and only responded via text and email with extremely brief and uninformative responses. They also were incapable of the most basic things like remembering my move out date, paying me the utilities from the downstairs tenants on time, setting up a date to do a walk through, they don't even know how to use the app (Cozy) that they make payments through.

If you house with these people expect dishonesty and a lack of professionalism. Don't even choose them as a last resort, the way they run their business borders on being a scam.

Arcata Property Management is really wonderful! The staff is really warm and welcoming and if there are ever any problems, they get right on it and make sure things are fixed. I loved renting from the folks at Arcata Property Management and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone!
