After attending one of Jeff’s seminars, my wife and I met with him about 3 years ago. I presented Jeff with the details of my financial situation, including the total amount of income I needed to live my desired lifestyle. As my wife and I were both retired, I was interested in income with preservation of capital (as opposed to capital appreciation without income). My husband and I attended a free dinner seminar hosted by Jeffrey Small and his team approximately 3 years ago. Little did we know attending the event would be so life changing! Following the dinner, I got a copy of Jeff's book, Turning Financial Planning Right Side Up, and read it. His investment strategies really made sense. I retired in 2011 and by that time had accumulated, in my opinion, quite a nice nest egg. It was nowhere, or even close, to the one million dollars necessary to have a comfortable retirement that I had been hearing was necessary, but felt that it was plenty sufficient to meet my wife’s and my needs. I was very protective of it, so I simply kept it deposited in a conservative money market account at a local credit union. I attended several financial advisors' seminars, but was not impressed with any of the presentations. Early in the year of 2016, I received an invitation to a seminar that Jeff Small of Arbor Financial was conducting. The purpose of this seminar was to present the various options available to us under Social Security. My wife and I were already collecting Social Security benefits, but we were curious to know if we had chosen the best one available.

We made an appointment to meet with Jeff at his office. In the ensuing conversation we had with him, I informed him of my little nest egg, and where I had stashed it. He explained about the fiduciary responsibility he had toward his clients of putting their interests first. He also told me that he could provide me with much better vehicles for my money that would produce a significantly higher return than I was currently getting. I knew at that moment that this was the opportunity I had been searching for for quite some time. I have not been sorry.
