I've been going to see Mr. Deviece back in 2001 as a recommendation from a close friend. My taxes were in a mess and I was terrified. These folks did our taxes concisely and got us back a huge return. I've used this CPA office consecutively since then, through a divorce, thru unemployment and covid. If you are in need of a CPA, RUN away from this firm. I NEVER write reviews, but this is necessary to share my experience and how this firm has costed me THOUSANDS of dollars. This firm has caused an all out nightmare in my life as a business owner. The turn around with assistants is unreal, typically there is no follow ups, responses, or any check ins regarding taxes, forms and payments. As a business owner, that is why we hire a CPA - so they can take care of it and we can run our business. Every single time my quarterly taxes were due, I had to check in with the firm only to be told I have to get documents and payments in the mail the same day.. which was nearly impossible.. because I'm a business owner. The first accountant I worked with at the firm, suddenly left without any notification and the firm failed to let me know and therefore NONE of my taxes were filed for ONE WHOLE YEAR! The second CPA I worked with helped to clean all of that up... but then ALSO left the firm with ZERO notice! Let's just say it is November of 2021 (I have since run far away from this firm) and I am STILL receiving letters from the IRS about taxes that were never filed, late, or missing payments.. with of course hundreds of thousands of dollars in fees alone. You are better off paying top dollar for an amazing CPA who will spend the time to be on top of your account instead of costing you all that money with the IRS, the massive headaches, and essentially you having to learn how to be your own CPA. UNREAL - they should not be in business.

My previous CPA experience left a lot to be desired, but it did let me know what I needed, but did not have. Jeff Foust at Steven R. Deviese, CPA is fantastic. He worked me through the issues I had step by step, letting me know what to expect, and following through in a timely fashion with all of his commitments.

Jeff is friendly, professional, great at his job, and I heartily recommend him. He does my business taxes and will be doing my personal taxes this upcoming season.

On a scale of 1-10, Jeff Foust is a 12! He will be my CPA for life. I have referred many people now to Jeff and they are all thrilled, too. He does personal and business taxes. I received a letter in the mail from the IRS that the IRS had made an error on- which by the way a letter from the IRS is terrifying- and he took care of it. DO NOT RECOMMEND this accountant. We requested an approximation of the cost for a VERY SIMPLE tax return. Were told by the receptionist that she needed to speak w/one of the accountants (all of whom were busy when we were there) before she could answer that question. No transparency as to prices? Eight days later we received a phone call that our taxes were done. I did not ASK them to do my return. I wanted to know what the cost would be to have them done. I wanted to see if it would even be worth my while. In the end, I was charged MORE by this accounting firm to do my taxes than my actual return will be.
