Dolphins, manatees and sea turtles frequented less than 20 yards from the pool for most of the day. Centrally located and perfect for a small family getaway. Would definitely come back.

Anchor Down Real Estate & Rentals truly exceeded our expectations! We stayed in one of their vacation properties, and it was hands down the most comfortable vacation stay we’ve ever had. The home was spotless, beautifully maintained, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we could possibly need—and then some! We reserved “Cortez Chic” for 4 nights. The house had a distinct smell similar to cat urine-possibly mold and sent me and my three kids under 5 into respiratory distress the first night. We had to sleep in the garage theater room as it was the only breathable air. We left after one night and were told the house smelled clean and I was just sensitive to smells due to being pregnant. The host and homeowner “stuck to policy” and refused a refund. Stay away from this company unless you want to end up losing thousands & end up with an ER visit!

Update: I have tried reaching out to discuss further, with attached proof of air quality concerns reported within hours of check in, with no response. Their phone states calls are recorded. I stated to two separate people that I was not sure WHAT the smell was but that it caused resp. distress. Diffusers, candles and spray only located in both bathrooms-where the smell is the strongest. I was told sarcastically I “should’ve gotten travel insurance”. My warning stands, steer clear.

The place is nicely decorated, very clean, with a big kitchen, comfortable beds and spacious rooms. My little dog loved the backyard and my children loved the pool. The neighborhood is very quiet and the house is a short 15 to 20 minutes drive to Ana Maria Island. Alberto helped me during the reservation process and he was readily available to answer any questions during my stay. We enjoyed our time in the house and would love to come back.

My girlfriend and I recently spent a week at this beautiful villa, and it was an unforgettable experience! The villa was spotlessly clean, providing a comfortable and cozy atmosphere for our stay. We really enjoyed relaxing in the backyard and cooling off in the pool. The location was ideal, just a short walk across the street to a stunning beach where we even had the chance to see manatees up close. The owner was incredibly helpful, offering fantastic recommendations for local spots to explore. Not to mention the locals are all very friendly and kind. I Had a flat tire right outside the villa and within a span of 5 min we had 10 strangers trying to help us out lol. It was the perfect blend of relaxation and adventure. We can't wait to come back!

Rented a large house in Bradenton for 4 nights in Feb '24 from Anchor Down. Good communications and responsiveness from the company and the property was everything they said. Paid extra for pool heating though, and the water never was warm enough to enjoy. Kids couldn't resist and they all ended up with colds for the flights home and extra missed school days. Lesson learned, I guess. AMI is a great family vacation spot.
