Purchased a new 2023 Honda Ridgeline RTL from Prescott Honda in Aug 2023.
Then, was able to do a pay-off of the remaining balance on March 10, 2025. Because the quoted amount was paid 1 day after (March 11) through our escrow, they charged $95.72 interest.
The "helpful Honda people" wouldn't do a one-time forgiveness of this interest.
Absolute BS and have very little good to say about Honda Finance.

This review is based in general of Honda Financial Services to all Honda Dealers (I got the Honda HRV 2025 at Honda Reseda)
All buyers please "aware" of the Lease Agreement.
In the Lease Agreement. On Page 2,
Section 7 - Your Total Scheduled payment is different than the final bill to your home.
It's a dollar or higher depending on vehicles.
I called Honda Financial (waited 20minutes +)
The Agent answered my call.
When asked why there are different in the amount of Total Scheduled Payment than the bill to home.
She referred to page 5 section H.
Federal changes/fees and taxes.
And, on section of Total Scheduled Payment
section J - Sales/Use Tax -
line K and L stated N/A (non Applicable)
She said Honda Financial is not able to change and will NOT change back to the Total Scheduled Payment that I signed.
They (the Honda Financial Services) added the hidden fee that the buyers don’t see.
They, the Honda Financial is cheating/cheated the buyers.
Your Total Scheduled Payment is NOT
the total payment.
There is a hidden payment set by Honda Financial Services. >> BEWARE <<

After paying my loan off, I expected to get a title, but got a lien release instead. Per honda customer service, I am to to take the lien release to the dmv and they'll issue a title. Wasted a day off work only to be turned away by the dmv. Per DMV, a lien release doesn't satisfy the requirement and honda needs to contact the DMV to release the title on my name. Conflicting info given by honda and dmv. Heck, conflicting info whenever I call honda financing. Their reps will also hang up on you if you're not satisfied with their answer. After numerous phone calls, I was able to get someone at honda to contact DMV to release the title. They explain this process will take up to 72 hrs. I don't understand why this wasn't done when the loan was paid off a month ago.

I had the worst experience buying a Honda at the dealer and now Honda financial has givin me the same terrible service I called to inquire about my loan to find out Honda is not reporting my loan to credit bureaus like Experian TransUnion etc when I called I spoke to a African American representative from Honda financial and was treated like a dog she says I was rude for being upset about Honda financial NOT reporting my payments !!! I think she’s delusional and unprofessional! She must of never paid a loan to anybody this will be the last time I purchase a Honda … Honda financial use to be a premium lender now there just a worse as a hole in the wall finance company I don’t recommend this finance company to anyone she told me the credit bureau s were not reporting it and I know that bullshit !! Sense she wouldn’t transfer to a Supervisor I’m writing this review so management can do better training and give better customer service !! This is a disgrace and unacceptable!! You guys are the worst customer service out there right now what a shame Ive bought and financed 4 Hondas and now I get treated like a less then a good customer that paid clock word I wish I bought Mercedes Benz all along they have best customer service in the whole industry Honda financial services you SUCK !!

This is the worst company I've ever dealt with. I asked them to calculate my monthly payment because I believed it was incorrect, they put me on hold for 20 minutes then hung up. They could have given me the answer in less than 1 minute. I had called them before for the amortization schedule and they said they couldn't! What kind of financial company is that? Stay away from these guys.

Tried making a payment early and got billed a fee of $15. Asked for a manager to give me a call and was told by a rep that the manager reviewed my account and I do not meet the requirements to speak with a manager. I was told that this was in my contract. I was also given wrong information by a rep the first time I called , they stated the fee was on my banks side , whole time I’m calling back and forth , it was on Hondas side . They will penalize you even when you are a value customer. Also I tried making my payment for $15 and was told that I couldn’t because it had to be over $50. LMFAOO. They charged me a fees , denied to take it off even though my payment was not due yet , then denied me when I tried to pay the $15 fee , and also denied me a manger call saying I don’t meet the requirements for a call back. This place is a whole complete JOKE

I called for a payment extension and the representative said I wasn't aligable, in which I knew I was since I had talked to another representative,, I told her that , and told her I wanted to talk to her Mgr. She put me on hold until I had to hang up since it was over 15mins,,, so I call back and another representative said it All Looks Fine
and got me an extension with no problem!

I was offered financing with American Honda Finance at a competitive interest rate at the time I bought the car. My biggest mistake is to go with a lender I was not familiar with. This lender has lost my payment and has been dragging their feet that there's no proof of payment when I know they cashed in on the money already. The employees at American Honda Finance manually input the account payment activity and somehow they missed one, and there's no accountability and solution on this. This is a tactic they use to play around to make you accrue more interest as much as possible. I know you have the money!
