He is a joke. Said he would take payments. Then after a couple of payments and him not doing anything with our case he decided he needed all the money up front. Then when we got him all his money he still has not done nothing been three weeks at least since he got the money. He acted like our case was an easy one. He will not even give you a phone call to keep you updated. Please do not use this attorney for nothing.

I was given Mr. Smitherman phone number by friend of mine so I called his office to make an appointment .I was given an appointment the next day However prior to going to my appointment it crossed my mind to see if anyone left any reviews for him. However I came across the terrible review left by warvet soldjah about a month ago from the date of this review. I was really choked to read the review was let by warvet soldjah
And I was going to cancel my appointment with him but I realized to just to give him a chance because $100 consultation fee is not very bad because I called few attorneys where they provide a free consultation but none of them either returned my call or can see me in a short notice .
Also I realized only sticks and Stones are only Thrown at Fruit-Bearing Trees.
So I kept my appointment with him and guess what I’m glade I did.
He spent one hour and 20 minutes with me discussing my case and giving me legal advice and my options and gave me a very reasonable price to represent me in the court of law and very much likely I will hire him .

Hired Mr. Smitherman for my fiancé and myself and I couldn't be more pleased with an attorney. He has done anything he can to help both of us in the best way with our situations. He is pretty awesome!
His secretary Angel, is also wonderful! She never fails to return your calls or update you on court dates, etc.
I am very satisfied with this legal team and would gladly recommend him to anyone needing representation!!

Atty Chris Smitherman has helped me and my family for legal matters since I moved back to Alabama in 2016. He is fair and works hard for me.
Update: Atty Smitherman has helped deliver a favorable resolution to a dispute. The case took two years. He treated me the same on month 24 as he did Day 1. I am very thankful!
He has also helped with my Will & Testament, Living Will and land deeds.

Took $4,000 from me and did nothing to help me settle my case. I am back at square one. He talked a good game in the beginning, but achieved absolutely zero results. I would not recommend him.

This guy is a scam artist!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME ON THIS SCAM ARTIST AND CROOK!! He talks big results until he receives your money! After that your lucky to even get a reply from him and his TALK AND STRATEGY magically changes!! Not to mention he REFUSED to file motion of indingecy on my behalf THEN THREATENED TO WITHDRAW FROM MY CASE THE DAY OF MY COURT HEARING WHEN I CALLED HIM OUT ON SOME OF THESE THINGS AND I HAVE A WITNESS TO IT ALL!! LIKE I SAID CROOK AND SCAM ARTIST IS HIS SECRET TITLE! I was FORCED to file A MOTION OF INDINGENCY MYSELF!! HE HAD NO RESULTS EVEN REMOTELY CLOSE to what he talked before he RECIEVED HIS MONEY!! SCAM, SCAM, SCAM. I WOULD BE HIGHLY SUPRISED TO EVEN GET A REPLY TO THESE ABSOLUTELY TRUEFUL STATEMENTS IN MY REVIEW!! Definitely got a complaint coming from me to the ALABAMA BAR association!
