I was working with Wyolaw firm to resolve credit card debt. I sent them a notification in 2022 indicating one of my accounts ended up having a judgement against it. Wyolaw litigation department sent the creditor correspondence to let them know that they were representing me and to work with them directly. Fast forward to Jan 2024 and NOTHING had been resolved. It was just sitting there for 2 YEARS no communication nothing. When I called Wyolaw all they said is that it was with the litigation department and that was it. I chose to cancel their representation in Jan 2024 and work with the creditor directly, but they will not talk to me until they receive a letter that Wyolaw firm no longer represents. 1st attempt to reach out to them they said I would have the letter I needed in 1business day, nothing, 2nd attempt I was advised 15 business days even though they show the status as completed. At the 3rd attempt I requested to speak with the manager directly and the representative told me they were out of the office and that the rep I spoke with the 2nd time didn't do what he was supposed to. I asked if there was someone else available and they said no and told me that they would have to end the call. I tried to explain the severity and urgency of the situation as my wages are now being garnished. My frustration here is that the notification should have been sent back in January 2024 to the creditor to let them know that I was no longer a client. Why wasn't that done? I just need them to please send the information so I can handle what needs to be handled. Simple. If you have the option to go a different route to get your credit card debt handled look elsewhere because THIS isn't it!

My payment plan was supposed to expire in 01/18/2024 (which i did) and then the last check was to go to the creditor. They mentioned that I would graduate from the program. NOT ONLY has the check not gone and I am not able to close the payment with the last Creditor. The program extended by an year and I am on call with the representative for two months and each time I get a new person on the line who says they will escalate it. I am still awaiting an update. This is really the last payment that has to happen and I am kind of stuck.

Do not go with this company, it is a total rip off. I completed our so called program, paid every payment agreed upon. At the beginning I had 14 k in depth. 6 cards. After all was said and done they collected all their money, only 2 cards had been settled, they wanted me to extend my payments and pay them more. When I said no they needed to settle the other agreed apon accounts they closed my account sent me $1700 and said I had to settle rest by myself. So I paid them over 12000$ for the to settle the small accounts of around 4000 and they pocketed the rest. They are scamm artists

They told me after being in the program for 3 or plus years they were no longer needing to draft money from my account. After about a year of no drafts they closed my account with no warning and only settle 3 of 4 debts. Now a get a summons to appear in court about the debt they did not settle. I called and the 2 people I spoke with today were very helpful. But now I have to hope they reopen my account and have to start the previous draft fees that they told me I was done with back in Dec. 2021. Or appear in court to pay the once $12000 now $29000 credit card debt.

Update1/18/2024!

The company seems to be shut down! In Dec 2023 I so called graduated the program and stopped them from taking money out of checking account. They still took money in Jan 2024. What I owe is less than $2.5K and they have $3.5K in escrow for me. Tell me why?🤬

NEVER NEVER NEVER AGAIN. I am just reading the reviews, the bad reviews, and I can echo the stories. I’m here one year later with the same nonsense. Apologies, but no action from this company. If multiple people are saying the same thing, then it must be true. You’ve represented yourself Falsely and I was better off filing for bankruptcy don’t even bother replying to me on here. I strongly believe you are making profit off of us by extending the deadline. So far my deadline has been extended about four times.

This place is a joke!! I have been paying $400.00 per month for 3 years to settle four credit cards. They have only paid off two within the first 1.5 years which totaled about $4000.00 total. I have been calling over and over for close to a year and no one will call me back to settle my two and highest credit cards. They say I don't have enough funds in my account. How can that be. My last payment to them as agreed before I started program ends March 3rd. How is it I have given them $14,400.00 or more and they have no funds? No one will call me back. They are not to be trusted. They will settle your smallest to make you think it works and then they rob you blind!!! Thanks for ruining my life and stealing from me former Summit Law Firm!! What an absolute joke! I was a fool to think I could get my head above water with this company. Now I am in a worse position than I was ever in. Telling me I would have better credit and no debt by my 3 year mark. Now I have the worst credit in my life along with $15,000 in debt that shows it hasn't been paid in 3 years.

I enrolled with WyoLaw in 2018 with 12 accounts totaling almost $49K. I paid $756 per month into the program for 50 months and they settled ALL 12 accounts for a total of $28K. My credit score was in the 500's when I started and is now over 700. I only gave 3 stars because they made a few (costly) mistakes along the way. They neglected to send installments to one of the creditors that had taken legal action and with whom a payment plan had been set up. Upon threat of having my wages garnished when the creditor sued me a second time, I had to come up with a large sum to settle. I also discovered that for a little over a year, they were duplicating the monthly admin fee deductions. However, when I brought this to their attention, they returned the funds to me promptly. Having a creditor take legal action was scary and stressful, but the atty who handled my case was excellent and responsive and reassured me throughout the process. I think that many of the negative reviews are from people who may not have a good understanding of how the process works and how long it takes. If it were not for the 2 expensive mistakes they made, I would have given them 5 stars.

I was told that after 3 years everything would be settled, here I am approaching year 5 and I just found out they "Lost the information for a debit" and it's now my responsibility to figure it out. They told me 3 years and a price point, they went over both. They used the wrong email and as a result did not accept a settlement that was offered and that delayed my time plus i got sued for it. Now with this recent issue I'm stuck tracking down a lost account from years ago. I've tried calling the office and nobody can explain anything to me, I've tried calling the person assigned to my case but he has not answered my email or phone calls. The email that I got from Wyo was so poorly written that I thought it was a scam, then I called to verify the situation and couldn't believe that they actually lost my information. I would not recommend using them, when I signed up for Summit law, it seemed different. Maybe something changed internally? I am still waiting on someone to get back to me about this mess but honestly I don't know that I can trust them anymore.
