I was not very knowledgeable about investing and after my mother passed, my previous financial representative retired, I went looking for someone who could help me, and who was affiliated with American Funds as that is who I had started with. I have to admit I was very late in getting on the investment planning bandwagon, so I had a lot of catching up to do. Susan Hurschman gave me the opportunity to come in and discuss my needs.
