I have been searching for a career-making opportunity in a highly specialized and incredibly competitive field for nearly a decade. After selecting a package and sending my current resume, they set up a Zoom meeting (at my convenience). I selected a package which delivers a set of high-quality branded documents which are, according to them: "recent, relevant, and results-driven" as well as guidance to focus my job search based on jobs that match my career goals and financial needs with job descriptions. While I was unsure how this process worked, within moments I was set at ease and they provided me the incredible insight that it was not as much my lack of career experience, as I had believed, but rather, how my resume was written and formatted.

The experience of Meri Stockwell provided so much insight into the job market. Her guidance is focused on your individual career goals and is dynamic and innovative. The meetings are designed to learn about you and how to tailor the efforts of the team to meet these unique goals. Meri's guidance in these matters provides an organized and focused timeline for their work.

After the initial consultation, I took the a Behavioral Assessment, which is a short exercise. It is so short in the taking that it is shocking how revelatory it is in the reports it produces. Tim Stockwell worked with me to discuss my reports in-depth. These reports are not personality profiles, but rather describe you from a behavioral standpoint. According to Tim, they are not so much intended to allow you to learn what you already know about yourself, but how your behavioral tendencies can be strengths to enhance or shortcomings you should strive to improve. Nearly everything we discussed proved to be exactly what I would say about myself with an honest self-assessment, but the ways that we discussed this understanding proved to me that by not thinking about these things before, I was not using my strengths to their fullest potential.

Jessica Jaskot is the resume expert that I worked with during this process. Jessica attended the initial Zoom session where she and Meri learned about my career goals, previous professional experience, and my ideal job. From there she took my answers in that meeting as well as the Behavioral Assessment reports and researched my job field to find job descriptions that matched my ideal position. Her understanding and expertise with both the current job fields and attention to detail are clearly evident. The end result was a resume that vastly exceeded my expectations. Her attention to detail, coupled with her ability to provide an intensely focused resume which captured my work history and professional ambitions were spectacular. I told her that the resume that she provided captured "everything that I would like to believe about myself" but was always too afraid to say because I feared coming off as a braggart. The documents have already given me more confidence in myself as a professional.

In each case, the individuals discussed and their efforts would be impressive in their own right, but together, the experience is transformative and energizing. It was evident from that first conversation that this was one of the smartest career decision that I had ever made and money I had ever spent. Bottom line: if you are looking to advance in your career or are unsure about the job market in light of the pandemic, and the uncertainty it has created, do yourself the favor of working with the folks at Meritas, I do not know of words sufficient enough to convey my satisfaction with their service and finished product.
