Run away from this company!

I started back with Dave back in 2021. Dave left. Then Corey left. Then Nick left. Then Stephanie left. Then Abe the new manager of a month left.

They got hacked and the owner Nick has refused to answer any of my phone calls on what data was actually lost. They charged me for quarterly reports that were never completed. They did my entire 2023 taxes wrong. They refused to send my 2023 documents. Claim they don't have them.

Nancy and Nicolette argue with you and won't give you a refund even though they never filed my 2024 taxes. My new CPA told me they will have to sort through the mess that was my 2023 as they have done it wrong.

I'm attempting to get a refund for services never fulfilled. I will be consulting an attorney. They charged over $1,800 in fees for one year.

I started as a new client to Tax Pros as of October 1 2024. I signed a contract when Stephanie and Nick were both in office. The month of October everything was fine. Fast forward to the beginning of December I had not heard from Stephanie - that same day I received a call from "Abe" but when he left the voicemail I couldn't understand what name he mentioned (I thought it was Dave). So I called the office back and asked for "Dave" they said he was no longer there. When I asked to speak to Stephanie the young lady said she was no longer there. So I asked to speak to Nick - to my surprise he was also no longer there. The young lady said - and I quote "none of the old staff is here anymore. It's a whole new staff."

While that's not necessarily a problem - there was no communication about the team changing over. Abe had no idea how my chart of accounts worked and he was "cleaning up four sets of books"...

Sadly since it has been an absolute battle to get anything done Abe says over and over "hes new and doesn't have power to do things" though hes the office manager.

Today - 1/21 my new accountant was cleaning up and realized they reconciled both the month of November and December with uncategorized expenses and 125 bank feeds that haven't been closed out.

DO NOT give these people your money - they have WAYYYY too much they are trying to "catch up on" that Nancy mass entered all of the transactions in minutes - now I am paying my new accountant to go in to clean up the old accountants mess.

I would give MINUS 5 stars if I could. I paid them to file my business payroll taxes and just got a bill from the IRS because they didn't do the work I paid them to do. HORRIBLE communication. Agree with recent comments. Do not use them - even if the owner BEGS for you to stay as a client.

Never got a copy of my 2023 taxes and since they had a DATA BREACH, they can't give me anything from last year. DO NOT USE THEM.

I paid for for an amended tax return since I made a mistake on the original filing tax pros drop the ball and did not send my amended return in. It has been an absolute fiasco trying to get this resolved. I should be getting back $5000 and now the IRS is after me for 35,000 from the negligence of this office.

DO NOT GO HERE. Two reasons - as of 2024 I called to get my 2023 tax return information, which they informed me there was a data breach and all my tax information was stolen, AND they no longer had my tax return info on file to give me. They did not notify me that my data had been stolen, and had no plan on how to mitigate it. Also, when I got my taxes filed in 2023, I was given a quote of $300 for me and my husband, they ended up charging us over $400 with no reasonable explanation for the sudden increase, of course they told us the price at end of the session.

I have to agree with the rest of these reviews. I have been a client of Tax Pros of Clermont for years, since when Dave was owner. I called to set an appointment with Dan and come to learn that all of the staff left after some sort of data breach. No notice, no apology, nothing really. I used to recommend Tax Pros to everyone, but here I am needing a recommendation myself.

I have to edit my previous 5 star review. I just learned that there was a data breach and now my tax information is lost?!? On top of this, all of the staff that had worked there for years (who were all great) have left. There has been so much turnover since Dave left and now the entire staff is new, and don't have my information from the last 3 years. Not a way to run a business. STAY AWAY.

I think about taxes like I think about going to the dentist...it's something you have to do but it usually isn't a positive experience. Well, I still hate going to the dentist, but I actually enjoy getting my taxes done! How many people can say that? Dave and his staff are always so friendly and positive that I am no longer nervous when tax time comes around. 10/10!

I wanted to LOVE them so Much. Sadly, they fell beyond short. If you have a small business, PLEASE find someone else. I had them complete my taxes for personal and business in 2023. The woman who helped was wonderful!! I had peace of mind, got a nice file folder of all the work, and lovely explanations. NOW for 2024! 6 months later, I just cant get over this. I started getting email blast reminders in January. So I reached out to Tax Pros and asked to begin the process. I sent emails for both Personal and Business. They were VERY slow to respond. At one point, I received an accusatory email that they never saw anything and said they lost my emails. I had to beg and remind by the end of February. The Man who was replying, told me that nothing needs to be urgent because business tax deadline is March. So I sat around. FINALLY, he filed my business info a few days before. I tried to explain my business, but multiple things were wrong. NOW.... my personal taxes were not done again because the man said its not important to HIS timeline. Email Quote: if I needed something urgently I should have said so. Bottom Line, after starting to work with them in January. I still was begging them to do my personal taxes the end of March. He again reminded me that taxes arent due until the 16th, so I can wait. I finally said I would do my own. I filed my own taxes the day before the deadline, because Tax Pros couldnt care less about any sense of timeliness or response. "My timelines arent theirs and I need to understand that". I felt 3 months was very fair.
