So as a guy who has been selling for a long time, I must admit when I was told I needed to attend ANOTHER sales training class, you might guess my level of enthusiasm. As I signed on to the class bright and early one Monday morning, I met Bill Stinnett for the first time. My expectation was another class full of PowerPoint decks of things I had seen many times before. The class was anything but that. Bill's friendly nature and unique insights on things that most of us knew already instantly gave us a new perspective on our daily activities.

We were a large group so Bill would break us up into much smaller groups to do role plays and other activities to reinforce what we were learning. The outcome from his class was that it gave not only management but the individual contributors on our team a common framework for prospecting, deal qualification, forecasting and just a clear frame of reference for how we measured and closed business.

I can tell you without question if you are looking for a way to have a common set of criteria for management and sales people to measure what they are doing, and improve both the performance and knowledge base with you sales teams, Bill is the guy to help you achieve that. As soon as I read Bill Stinnett’s book, Think Like Your Customer, in 2005, we hired him to come to Mexico to train our sales team. I truly believe the Sales Excellence methodology is the very best in the world. It has completely changed the way I think about approaching customers.
