DO NOT LET THIS WOMEN TOUCH YOUR TAXES! Cynthia COMPLETELY neglected our taxes. When we hired her, she invited me to her online portal to upload all of the necessary documents she needed to prepare our 2023 taxes. That was the only easy part. We had a scheduled zoom meeting to discuss our taxes in more detail. She logged on and told my husband and I she couldn't find the documents we uploaded. She fumbled around for a few minutes and then realized she just hadn't seen them yet. On April 8, 2024, she asked for one last piece of information so she could submit our taxes. I provided that information the same day. In July, I asked her what the status was and asked how much we needed to pay and where to send it. She said she was waiting for the information she requested back in April! I screen shot our messages to prove to her I had already given her that information when she requested it. After SEVERAL ignored phone calls and emails, she finally tried to submit our taxes but they were rejected by the government because she didn't enter our social security numbers correctly. She resubmitted and our taxes were finally submitted on October 3, 2024. In my tax return, she indicated my state refund would be direct deposited to the account I gave her and told me to MAIL A CHECK for our federal taxes that we owed. I mailed the check (thousands of dollars). The IRS then deducted the same federal payment from the account I gave her for our direct deposited state refund. WE HAVE NOW PAID DOUBLE FEDERAL TAXES! I can not believe this woman is licensed to handle any financial matters.

I am dumbfounded that this company has 4.8 Stars. Working with them has been a total nightmare from the start.

Cyndi and her team took over our account on September 1st.

Our sales tax has not been filed or paid on time one single time. She has emailed me a paper voucher to mail in, however our bank account is in our City and State Revenue account. She has claimed she can't see it and I was told multiple times she would be calling to ask why. And I never heard anything further from her about this matter. Now we are facing hundreds of dollars of late fees.

I have requested our payroll be ran in a certain way via Gusto because of the frequency in which some of our employees are schedule to work. This requested was ignored over and over again, thus costing me more fees than necessary.

I was reviewing our income statement in November and discovered Alpha Omega had not been reconciling our books (not even once since September.) On November 10th, 2023, I sent Cyndi a message asking if her firm had the capacity to take us on as a client and I would appreciate her honesty so I could move on. This was her response, "I do have your books reconciled - I was working on them last night. I promise you are a priority for our firm. I did talk to Elda about this - I thought she was reconciling the account but she thought my other assistant Scott was - I'm taking care of it now and will work with them to make sure it's done before the 15th of each month." They have not asked me one single questions about our books.

I have reviewed our log in history in Xero and the very first time anyone from her firm logged into our Xero account was on December 10th for ten minutes and then again on December 20th for 3 plus hours. They reconciled August and September, however October, November and December are untouched and somehow they have continued to collect from me each month.

I let them go on December 16th and informed Cyndi that at the end of December I would be discontinuing their serves based on poor communication and yet again not running payroll in the manner I requested. I was told over and over again that they would be contacting Gusto (which I already had) and that she would figure out why she couldn't see our bank account in our sales tax platform and I have received zero follow through on either issue.

Now our books haven't not reconciled since September, however Cyndi has collect $775 from me for months and now has charged me again on January 3rd. And she will NOT respond to my messages. I am owned thousand of dollars for services not rendered, hundreds of dollars in late fees and unnecessary fees for payroll.

As a small business owner we hire professionals to make our life easier, however in this case, Cyndi has made my life more stressful and costly. I have no other choice than to file a complaint with the Regulatory Agency and file a lawsuit. Honestly, this is insane and completely unnecessary.

And to receive her weekly news letter in regards of how to prepare for our Income taxes is wildly absurd considering our books are a mess.

Update: as a small business owner I understand that things can be amiss and we can not always hit our mark, however, Cyndi has completely ignored every mode of communication. At this point our books have been corrected and Alpha Omega did next to ZERO work on our books for five months of pay. I have all the documentation and confirmation from the new firm that has taken over. We paid $775 per month. They owe us $3,100 dollars and now I truly have to file a lawsuit against her. And unfortunately I will be filing a complaint with DORA. It's saddening that a woman owned business has to file a lawsuit against another woman owned business. I will continue to update this review until I have a resolution. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Their communication and follow through is beyond unprofessional.

If Cyndi spent one ounce of time taking care of our books compared to the time she talks about her son working with Wu-Tang maybe our books would be half way decent.
